Understanding Our Social Justice System with Keith Long

Keith Long is a Harvard Nieman Foundation Scholar.  He is also Florida Bar Certified for Continuing Law Education Credits at Stetson Law School.  He has been a moderator for “Black Lives Matter” and has worked with the “Innocence Project”.   He has been working recently with the upcoming documentary series on Casey Anthony.

In today’s show, Keith shares that he teaches attorneys how the media influences cases.  He was involved with the OJ Simpson case years ago and explains how the blood found at the scene was transferred to that location from the police department.  What happened with the OJ Simpson case aided the reformation of the LAPD Department.

Questions considered during this show:

  • Where are we today with social justice?
  • Are we really the land of opportunity?
  • How does “confirmation bias” work?
