Reincarnation is also called “transmigration or metempsychosis in religion and philosophy and refers to the rebirth of the aspect of an individual that persists after bodily death – whether it be consciousness, mind, the soul or some other entity – in one or more successive existences”.
In many belief systems, life doesn’t end in death and the soul continues in what is called an “astral body”. In these beliefs, the astral body moves to another physical body to continue the spiritual evolution of that soul.
