There are several forms of anxiety but the most common ones are:
- Generalized Anxiety
- Social Anxiety
- Phobias
- Panic Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
It’s important to realize that anxiety disorders are very treatable. The key component for each of them is a sense of excessive worry. In many cases the onset of anxiety occurs in early childhood but isn’t diagnosed until much later in life.
Some of the symptoms a person might experience are:
- Feelings of apprehension
- Always believing the “worst” will happen
- Difficulty concentrating
- Feeling tense and irritable
- Moments where your mind goes blank
- Dizziness; headaches; shortness of breath
