How Powerful Stories Can Guide Our Lives with Doug Warner

Doug Warner explains that if we could all look at our lives in a different way, each of us is on a hero’s journey.  We certainly do not always feel like heroes but if we consider the total journey of our life, we are actually transforming with each step we take.

Doug mentions one of his favorite authors, Joseph Campbell who died in 1987, as saying “A hero is someone who has given his life to something bigger than oneself”.  For most of us, the path to becoming a hero in our own life requires a painful evolution.  In reflection, however, we see the slow but steady progress.

Doug explains the reward is not the end of the journey but the transformation that takes place within the person.  The hero then returns to share what they have learned with others.

Doug is a Yoga & Meditation Teacher as well as a Certified Labyrinth Facilitator and Storyteller.  He is also a Florida Licensed Massage Therapist.
